Moe’s Original
ADAPTIVE REUSE
Located on South Broadway in historic Englewood, Colorado, an adaptive reuse of two 1920’s buildings provides a new space for entertainment and dining. The two rundown buildings were gutted and combined to create a new gathering place for the community.
The renovation turned a tired pool hall into a local hangout for patrons to listen to music, eat gourmet food and bowl with their friends.
The dining space is equipped with a full bar and bar-b-que kitchen. Accent lighting in the dining space provides a dynamic and colorful environment. A full stage and performance area is incorporated into the facility where live bands perform weekly. The adjacent space provides eight vintage lanes of bowling accompanied with pool tables and pinball machines. The removal of an old ceiling revealed historic bow trusses that allowed the creation of a gaming and dining mezzanine that overlooks the activities below. Overhead doors open the dining room to the activities of the adjacent street and neighborhood.
